Thank you for visiting my website!

I have  lots of great information to share with you so please read on...

I am very honored to have received the Machine Quilting Teacher of the Year award for 2010 .  It is very meaningful as this award is voted for by past students.  As I told the audience that evening, my two favorite places in the world are in front of my sewing machine and teaching in the classroom. I have a deep passion for both quilting and teaching  and it touches my heart to know that my students appreciate me as a teacher and quilter as much as I enjoy having them in the classroom.  Thank you very much for this amazing award!

I am excited to present my NEW 5-day teaching workshops in Rancho Cordova starting in 2012.  There are only a couple openings left in July...February and September are already full.  Please click on "Workshops" for more information.

I also added two 3-day Beginning Machine Quilting workshops in March and June 2012.   March filled very quickly and June has just been added. Please click on "workshops" forand scroll down past the Design workshops for more information.

My family and friends sometimes have a hard time keeping track of where I am so they are always referring to my Calendar  My students often check here for my class and traveling schedule.  If you are interested in my availability to teach for your guild this is a great first step!

Speaking of teaching for your guild...I have just updated my Brochure and Bio which outlines my guild programs and workshops.  Please click HERE to download.  My schedule for 2012 is nearly full and 2013 is getting close.  Let me know if you are interested in having me visit your guild or store to teach!

My "Blog" is the favorite part of my website!  I share quilts in progress, students' work, share tips, stories, etc.  Be sure to check it out and visit often.

In the past I have had my Newsletter available for viewing off of my website.  In order to make things easier for me I am now sending them via Constant Contact.  If you would like to be added to my mailing list please email me at linenqltr@comcast.net and reference "newsletter" in the subject line.

Many of my students are familiar with my great classroom handbooks.  I offer them in my classes in pdf format on a CD to ensure good quality graphics, color and text.  I also offer them for sale as many quilters want the information but are unable to attend one of my workshops.  If you are interested, please visit the "Handbooks" section of my website.  Each one comes with extra supplements which result in about 60 pages worth of instruction.  For an additional $10 you can purchase lifetime updates on your purchased handbooks which are updated on a yearly basis.

"THESE ARE A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS"
I am often asked for my recommendations for products and supplies and am always willing to give that information.  I thought it would be so much easier to write it all down so everyone, students and blog readers alike, can have access to this information.  I will be updating and editing this a lot as I come across new and recommended goodies.  Check back on the last edited date to make sure you have the most recent version!

                                        "THE FABULOUS FOUR"
Speaking of handbooks.  I offer a free tip sheet "The Fabulous Four" which you can download and print by CLICKING HERE This is the handout I provide to all guilds and classes that helps to solve about 95% of the trouble you may be having with some threads on your machine.  Great information!!!

Speaking of thread education, I filmed several videos for Superior Threads last year and they're all uploaded on their website. These videos share a lot of good information on how to use all different types of threads in your machine.  A two- part video trunk show is also included which features some up close and personal shots of some of my quilts along with their stories.  Click HERE to check them out!

THE QUILT SHOW

I was lucky enough to be a featured guest on Ricky Tims and Alex Anderson's "The Quilt Show" a few years back which featured my wholecloth linen quilts.  I taught a linen workshop for Lilo Bowman's quilt guild in Monument, Colorado recently (the Quilt Show's producer) and she wrote a nice article about the class in the newsletter.  CLICK HERE to check it out!

The Quilt Show is a GREAT resource to quilters with amazing  classes, articles, information, teaching, etc.  I have been a member since the beginning and highly recommend becoming a member !

Jenny, my favorite oldest daughter, is my personal photographer.  She has created a small portfolio of some of my quilts that can be found in the
"Gallery".

Need to get away from it all and enjoy great company, nonstop quilting and good food?  Please consider joining me for a retreat in McCloud, CA!  My retreats are very popular and fill up quickly.  You can find out more in the "Retreat" section!  2012 has already filled I will be taking sign up's for 2013 starting January 1, 2012 by email only.   If you would like tojoin us, being on the wait list isn't such a bad things as I usually get 4-5 cancellations per retreat due to "life stuff".

Thank you for visiting and be sure to contact me if you are interested in scheduling me for a visit to your guild!     Email address: linenqltr@comcast.net.  Reference quilting in the subject line please!
