Last, but not least, I would like to feature my second special Linen Lady from Australia! Marilyn lives on a property outside Lismore in the Northern Rivers and enjoys the peace and quiet of the country.
She has a dressmaking background and found it difficult to relate to cutting beautiful fabric into small pieces and sewing them back together. During a long period of illness a kind friend arrived with a box full of precut hexagons, papers, needles and thread and "demanded that I set to work". What an achievement it was to stitch a couple of those together each day. She LOVES wholecloth quilting and loves textile art where anything goes and one can just play.
